ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Val Biro was born in Budapest, Hungary, but moved to London in 1939 to study. Over a long career, his illustrations appeared in over 400 books, (a number of them available on this website) and on the covers of many more. He was a much-loved author and illustrator of children's books.
